DuBoise Idaho Rodeo

DUBOISE IDAHO RODEO !

September 11, 2010

Notice the crowd, everyone is standing, every hat is off, every hand is over every heart.  We need to see more of this from middle school sports to pro sports! Respect our Flag! On this 9th anniversary of 9-11, we need to remember that freedom isn't free!

Old Glory has a lot of respect at rodeo America!

Wool Riders! Young kids test their skills on sheep!

This young man had a good ride!

He even fell like a pro!

An other young man off and running!

And off!

Watch out for the girl wool buster! She is good!

The only girl in the wool busting catagory
beat all the boys!

MY FAVORITE PHOTO OF THE RODEO!
These 2 young men were scared to go out alone,
so they went together! I have to laugh every time I see this one! The boy in front is hanging on for dear life! The boy in back wants to change his mind!
Too Late! Look at all the faces!

But the boy in back turned in a great ride.He held on for dear life!I think they had to pry him off the sheep!

The rodeo clown made this young rider feel this tall!

This young man became one of my favorites. He wasn't a contestant, he was a worker! He herded the sheep, baby bulls, broncs and big bulls back to the pens like a real pro! He was born in that saddle!

 Baby bull riding and falling.....

Bad, mad baby bull! All 4 feet off the ground! But this young man stuck on like he had velcro between him and the bull!

Oooops!

Chuck in his best 9-11 attire!

DoogieBowser's first rodeo and he had a great time!

Future cowgirl ???

The DuBoise Idaho Rodeo is all about family!

Ooopppps! Bronc Bustin' ain't easy!

Ow! I don't think that is the correct way to crease your hat cowboy!

Oh oh, fence ahead!

Oh Ow!

ow! Ow! Ow!

Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! This guy got up and limped away under his own power!

We had a great time at this small family style rodeo!
They grilled steaks and served them with baked potato and salad and home made cobbler for dessert all for 12 bucks! Life is good!
SO MUCH FUN!  Thanks for coming along on our rodeo adventure!
Happy Trails from The crew of The MotherShip: Geri, Chuck, Scotty and Doogie Bowser!

    Howdy Crew,
As an OLD rodeo hand, Thanx, for the pics and comments!! I started my career on the Junior bulls
just like these kids, when I was 11 years old and had the announcer choking with laughter ever time I dismounted/got thrown, because I headed for the nearest fence, even if it was on the far end of the arena!! Those hard-headed baby bulls are tuff!

    Howdy Crew,
About 10-15 years ago I went to see THE COWBOYS OF COLOR RODEO, at Fair Park Coliseum in Dallas, TX, put on by a good friend of mine.. I think that Joyce & I were the only WHITE people there and when the AMERICAN FLAG was presented, we STOOD, TOOK OUR HATS OFF IN RESPECT OF IT.. WE WERE THE ONLY ONES STANDING OR RESPECTING THE FLAG... NOT A PERSON OF COLOR EVER EVEN QUIT TALKING!!! I WAS ASHAMED OF THEM and said so to my friend.. He is a veteran and said that only white people do that!!!
