A last look at the Grand Tetons!
Heavy clouds hanging like dirty rags from the sky! We climbed abord the MotherShip and started another adventure!
Worlds biggest spud, advertising
The Spud Drive In Movie Theatre.
As we leave Tetonia Idaho and head south, we begin
to see the slightest hint of autumn. Yellows
and oranges begin showing up in the foliage.
We saw several houses along the way that were abandoned, probably for years. Most of these homes were in very remote areas where the winters would be very harsh!
Another abandoned house
Autumn began showing her colors more boldly!
At the Oakley Recreation area and dam,
this man sits reading his book.
We saw a lot of farms along the road
Rain had been threatening all day!
Finally it came over the mountain!
This guy seemed to be having boat trouble
as we passed over the bridge.

Afton Wyoming, home to the largest arch
built totally out of elk antlers!
Harvesting hay.
The road less travelled
The colors of the earth began a subtle change
Suddenly we saw windmills in the distance!
The next exit was Fort Bridger WY,
our campsite! What was supposed to be a 4 hour
trip turned into 6. We were both tired and grouchy
we pulled into our campsite and went to bed early.
The next blog will be from Ft. Bridger to here,
Flaming Gorge WY. That was only a 2 hour journey!
Hope you enjoyed our trip...
without getting grouchy! :-)
Happy Trails from Geri, Chuck and our HoundHerd: Scotty, DoogieBowser and Radar!
